Pokémon Chronicles Version 18.5

What's new in this version of Pokémon Chronicles v18.5:


1- Improved NPC Trainers:



Improved / Added - some overworld NPC trainers to match their "nature":

They are: Mark, Mint, Tory Lund, Clown, Ethan, Lucas, Dawn, Hilbert, Hilda, Nate, Rosa, Calem, Serena, Elio, Selene.

2- Item Crafter System:



Added a new system where players can craft some items. But, to craft items, the players must know the item recipe first. You can find recipes through events or finding items with the recipe. The Item Crafter Key item can be obtained in the beginning of the game through Delia. But this item is empty with no recipes in it. There is a total of 102 unique recipes to craft items. The recipes are scattered through all the 4 regions.

Note: An NPC will be added at Celadon Game Creator Mansion, at the entrance, to give you this key item without any recipes. It's only a temporary fix for those who don't want to start a new game only because of that. If you don't get the item, some future events will make the game to crash, because they can't give you the recipes without the key item.


3- New Maps and Changed Maps:



Changed a map in MT. Moon that connects the cave to Mt. Moon Square. This map were recicled from the official games.



Added and "fixed" a missing map from the Cave of Origin.



Added a new map called: Birth Island.

To acess this map, you'll need: Aurora ticket. And you only can depart from Trovita or Kumquat Islands. The item will be given by Prof. Ivy, when players go to talk to her about the weird weather changes through orange region, this is related to legendary birds events.

If you already do this part, send me your save game so I can give you the ticket, without the ticket, you will not complete this events in the future and you can't acess this island either.

Also, moved the legendary shrine from Altering Cave to here and added/fixed some events text about this matter too.

Special event: Deoxys black triangle will appear at night, interact with it to battle it. You can capture it or not, but this event will only appear from one time when you interact with it.

You can visit the island any time.



Added a new map called: Navel Rock Island.

To acess this map, you'll need: Mystic ticket. And you only can depart from Mikan or Navel Islands.

Special event: Ho-oh will happear at day and Lugia at night. You can capture them or not, but after interacted with this events, the events will not appear again.

You can visit the island any time.

You can find this item in the Whirl Islands where the Lugia chamber is.



Added a new map called: Faraway Island.

To acess this map, you'll need: Old Sea Map. And you only can depart from Lilycove City.

Special event: Mew will appear here. You can capture it or not, but after interacted with this event, the event will not appear again.

You can visit the island any time.

You can find this item in the Pokemon Mansion, somewhere in the 2nd floor.



Added a new map called: Southern Island.

To acess this map, you'll need: Eon ticket. And you only can depart from Slateport City.

Special event: Latios and Latias will appear here. You can capture them or not, but after interacted with this events, the events will not appear again.

You can visit the island any time.

UPDATED: Steven event in Route 118 with new event:

1- Latias will appear at Route 118 when you are talking with Steven. Then you two will be transported to Southern Island.

2- You joined forces with Steven to battle an evil team that wants some kind of power from Latios.

3- You will receive some rewards.

4- You will return to Route 118 with Steven.

5- After he leaves you, you'll receive a phone call from a womam, saying to meet her at Petalburg's PokéCenter.

6- After meeting this woman, she gives you an Eon Ticket, and she said that you must talk to Norman.

7- Then Norman goes with you to Slateport port and then you go with a sailor, to Southern Island.

8- You confront the other Eon Pokemon and receive some rewards.

9- You return to Slateport port and reported what you saw/do at Southern Island to Norman.

10- Southern Island events done.

Key item Journal has been updated with new quests.

WARNING: To add this maps, some old maps where "recicled" and "transformed" to this new ones. So, before playing with this new update, save your character inside of any PokeCenter first. Then play the game normally when using this new update.

Also, old saves games don't have the oportunity to do this Route 118 and Southern Island Quests. To activate this, you must send me your save game, if you want this events and items.

Also, all the caves will now have 1F, 2F, B1F and etc in their names, this way you can know better where you are or what part of the cave you are at the moment.


4- Poketch New Events:



Added Poketch events from Sinnoh region games to Saffron Train Station. First, you must talk to the Poketch producer, then he will give you 3 quests, they will go to journal key item. To complete this quests, you must answer right to 3 clowns in Saffron City, they will give you a total of 3 coupons. Then return to the producer and he will reward you with a Poketch with all the apps unlocked.

Note: The game creator NPC in Celadon City, will no longer gives you the Poketch. You can only receive this key item through this new events that suits better the propose of this key item.


5- Improved and Changed Richard Events:



Improved and changed the Richard NPC Events:

He now only gives the PokeRadar Key Item and not both PokeRadar and Poketch.

Order of the events:

1- Talk to Yellow and she will ask you to bring some petals,
2- Talk to the weekday brothers from Johto and bring all the 7 petals to Yellow,
3- Yellow will make you a Raibow Flower to be delivered by you to Blue,
4- Talk to Blue and she will give you The Mysteries Of The Earth book,
5- Talk and hand over the book to Richard, he will reward you with a battle against him, a ribbon, PokeRadar and you can team up with him anytime.

Note: Journal key item was updated with this quests. If you already madded this events, send me your saved game so I can reset them or start a new game, it's your choice.

All shops are now completed. One of the shops requires you to exchange BOTTLE CAP items for GOLD BOTTLE CAP items, then use the GOLD BOTTLE CAP items to buy some special items. You can get 1x BOTTLE CAP for each right answer in TYPE QUIZ MINIGAME.

Fixed - Steel Candy option in Game Creator Mansion.
Fixed - Route 133 and 134 map tilesets issues.
Fixed - Some event texts in terms of grammar.
Fixed - Radio Points limit to 30 and battle Points limit to 9999.
Fixed - Pokemon follower/amie issue, where some options about the following pokemon always appears.
Fixed - Cinnabar Island map tilesets issue with surf.
Fixed - Some NPC's texts and graphics.
Fixed - Cinnabar lab maps tilesets issue in some objects.
Fixed - NPC's that rewards players with eggs. They now will check the players party when its full or not to receive the egg.

Fixed - Cool trainer vs seeker event in Kanto Victory Road.
Fixed - Cerulean Cave map tilesets issue.
Fixed - Route 109 sand footprints not showing in some sand tilesets.
Fixed - Orange Islands PC's events, where is supposed to be offline due to Celio events.
Fixed - Some braille text in Mt. Ember and in Dotted Hole.
Fixed - Tanoby Ruins map tilesets issue.
Fixed - Mandarin water puddles tilesets, where is supposed to show the player reflections.
Fixed - Sootopolis GYM traps.
Fixed - Trovita Island map surf tilesets issue.
Fixed - Journal quest gived by the Lavender Town Ghost. Which is to be completed after beating Giovanni in his hideout at Celadon City.
Fixed - Corrosion Ability. Now it wouldn't clash with other poison abilities.
Fixed - Kumquat GYM and Mossdeep GYM Trainer Partners issue, where players can have the trainer partners in the battle to help them, aganst the GYM Leaders rules.
Fixed - Dance Teather in Ecruteak City where is supposed to defeat all the kimono girls to receive the gift from the man.
Fixed/Improved - Berry Powder System, key item, events. Powder limit is now 9999. To earn the powder, go to kanto game corner and play the yellow machine their.
Fixed/Changed - Maren event in Mikan Island. The event was moved to other map, from the Port to Mikan Island.
Changed - Now, Stella Circus events will ask you for few items, instead a bunch of them.
Changed - Johto, Hoenn S. S. tickets graphics. They will have the same image as Kanto S. S. ticket.
Changed - Orange Crew Champion Drake battle back sprites.
Changed - Seasons scene background, now it will be transparent with decorations alluring each season. This change were necessary due to some issues that it causes when at some events, where autorun events appears and the seasons scene will block your view.
Added - Pewter Crunchies in Pokemon Amie food list when petting a Pokemon.
Added - Ability Capsule in Silph Co. Mart and Devon Corp. Mart.
Added - More Salesman in Game Creator Mansion in Celadon City.
Added - 4 New items: Old Sea Map, Eon Ticket, Aurora Ticket and Mystic Ticket.
Added - Town Map locations for: Birth Island, Navel Rock Island, Southern Island and Faraway Island.
Added - Missing Ribbons in some events.
Added - New Trainer themes, battle, victory songs.
Improved - Footprints a little, in terms of coding and functioning on the maps.
Improved - Front battle sprites of: Decidueye, incineroar, steenee and xurkitree.
Removed - Special jukebox songs add-on from v18.4. The songs are from other animes and they consumes lots of space in HDD, so, i removed them for that reason.
Updated - Pokémon Chronicles Kanto Region Walkthrough Word File.
Development - Preparing the system to receive the PokéRadar special encounters.
Development - Preparing the system to receive the Battle Tents Events.
Development - Preparing the system to receive the Pokemon Contests. - Stoped for now.
And other improved things / repair bugs and errors.

Downloaded all the game parts and now what?


1- Place all parts in the same directory / folder / location.
2- Right click on part 1 and then extract it to from the game's exe.
3- With the game's exe. You can delete the winrar parts. Because you've got what you want, the game's exe.
4- Install the game normally and check the Word files for more information about the game installation.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The players can continue with their save games from the version 18.

Note: Remember, this project is still under development.
This is a PC fangame not a hack rom.
To download the game, people must be registered in this forum.
The game provides players with Word files with instructions about installation and other usefull things.
Please read carefuly when instaling the game.

People's scripts and other kinds of stuff are credited inside the game in final credits.

How to install the game and Updates?

1- To install the game, simply copy and paste the game's folder on your PC. But, never paste it on the folder "My PC".

2- To update to a new game's version, delete your old game's folder and paste this one in the same location.

3- Just play the game and have fun.

Note: Your save game will go automatically to another location, so it's fine doing this and you will not lose your saved game.
